where do i tap in the wire from the d3 to the headlight? so that when i turn my headlights one, the d3 dims down.

Pull the headlight switch out and tap into the Yellow/Light Blue wire in the plug closest to the driver's side door. Use the Orange/White wire going into the AVIC.

Or you could move some pins around in the aftermarket harness. I believe it's the orange wire that you mearly have to move down one spot or something like that. No big deal though.
