Stolen Mustang in VA - Please Help!
Hello everyone,
I'm sorry that this is my first post but my wifes Mustang was stolen Tuesday night.
The thief actually broke into my car, smashing out the drivers side glass, and unfortunatly my wife had left a set of her keys in my center console. They were not in plain site or anything but when he was looking for stuff to steal he happend on her keys and took her car.
It was stolen from our parking lot. We are located in Northern Virginia but the car could be anywhere in the VA/MD/DC area or even farther away.
Here are some pics of her car. It is a 2007 Mustang GT Convertible Premium with the appearence package and the interior upgrade packge. It also has a cloth top.
If anyone sees this car please call the police.

Thanks for your help!

So sorry to hear.
Call ALL the city police offices as there is little communication between them. Louden and Fairfax counties might as well as be on different coasts as far as police interaction. Fax them each a one page details page with a pic. It may help.
Skip the city of DC...they could care less.
Maybe VA still has a special law for "horse thieves" on the books...
Would not hurt to call AA and PG couties too in MD.
Good luck!

sorry to hear about your loss....i would die if it happened to me
im in NOVA for one more day (im moving) and ill keep my eyes peeled, but dont you think it would be a little easier to find if you didnt censor out the license plates? granted they may have swapped them...

The police officer who contacted me for pictures said they were doing a "Lookout" alert for the DC metro area.
However, I think that is good advice. I'll start working on it. Sadly, the car is probably in DC.

I dont want to shoot your hopes down...but the cars stolen in DC...if not recovered in 24-48 hours are usually gone.
Just a fact of urban life.
There is a SMOKIN hot GT coupe in the classifieds here for like $20K though. Always a silver lining!

Sorry to hear that. I'm in NoVA too, so I'll keep my eyes peeled.
I know my wife does the same thing sometimes with leaving her keys in our SUV. That drives me ape-poo when she does that.
Hope you get your Stang back (or at least a nice insurance check to replace her)!

Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear.
My car, a 2008 Dodge Charger R/T was broken into. They broke the driver's side glass. While the thief was searching for stuff to steal, he found my wife's keys that she left in the center console. The keys were not in plain site. She does not usually leave her keys in my car but this time she did.
I was honest and truthful in my report to both the police and my insurance company.
