So does this pollute our air were already polluting? Does it harm the air that bad? My wife and I took out ours today. Haven't drove it yet. How is the gas mileage? I figure with the increase air to the engine it should be better. Please don't all answer at once. Ha! Ha!

Let me understand this, the trap is located inside the hose to the factory filter? I haven't removed mine yet. Is it ont he throttle body side or the filter side? I'm going to check if there is one on m ine or not.

Removed mine and I swear I feel a smoother response. That was a hard booger to get out but its done.. Its in the hose leading to your air cleaner filter. It's a round canister looking thing.

too late. It still drives stronger. If the dealer saids anything I will simply tell him it wasn't there. They will never know anyhow. Today I ordered my K@N filter. Hope that helps too. It should. They lead in performance air filters. If not It will at least last a lifetime. Thats their warranty.

A lifetime wont be very long with those filters, common sense will tell you dirt will go through any hole you can see through. Ever looked through a K&N filter?
Sure they add HP, there is nothing there to restrict the air flow, but is the couple extra HP you will probably never feel worth the extra wear?
I vote no.
But, its your engine.

Just popped my intake open tonight and saw no vapor trap, at least not one that looked like that cylinder with cotton stuffed in it.
