Default Hmmmm... Mud Flaps?

So here in the city it seems that there is always water flowing in the gutters. When I drive through it my wide tires get half of the back quarter panel dirty. I got tired of driving around with these brown splash marks on the back so I bought some 2005 Mustang Mud Flaps for the back from http://www.fordaccessories.com:

ITEMS IN ORDER
1 - 2005 Mustang Molded Splash Guards $38.00
Subtotal $38.00
Shipping - : $6.47
Tax: (Ohio Residents only) $0.00
TOTAL: $44.47

They went on by unscrewing the 2 screws and then reinstalling them with the flaps in place. The only problem is that the holes are much too big in the flaps and the head of the screw only came down on half of the plastic. I had to install washers about the size of a quarter to make sure they won't pry off.
The install takes some time. I didn't have a jack so I had to use a philip's head on a ratchet. Not much space between the screw and the tire. They suggest taking the whole tire off.
Here are the pics. Anyone know of a place that has some decals of the Pony logo or "GT" that I can stick on each one?

I'm not a big fan of mud flaps. Maybe if you paint them the same color of the car???

The only problem you have is that you installed mud flaps on you mustang. Take those ugly looking things off. Besides that your car looks great

If he has already installed them, why does he need to read the thread on finding places to buy them ?

Actually, what he should read is this link The Great How Ugly Are Mud Flaps Debate

Forget the decals. What you need is the "little chrome reclining naked lady" or the "Back Off" emblems. Those are waaaay cool!!! [sm=trust_me.gif]

I'n case you haven't driven on a wet day, I tried the splash guards today and hardly a drop got on the body after I drove through moving water in the gutter. Before it would have been drenched up the the back lower side reflector light. Today my hindquarters were nice and dry. The GT's TOO!!
I do agree with 1Fast05GT in that i too wish they had them in yellow, but since the wheel side of the flaps will be covered in mud, water, chemicals, spilled crack (I'm in the Big City) and who knows what else, I think it's best to keep them black.
Gonna see if i can get one of my model friends to pose for my own custom made flaps!
