Default New Best ET. Timeslips and Video included

New bests for my '07. 13.129@105.79. I'm confident with some more tweaking of the 2 step, I'll be able to hit 12's. Not nearly as exciting as 10's, but I think it's damn good times for 3.31's and no FI or internals.

2007 Mustang GT 5 Spd manual - C&L Racer intake, SCT XCal2 with Bamachips 93 octane race tune, Steeda UDP, Steeda CMDP, Pypes off road H pipe, MSD 2 step, PMP line locks, M/T ET Street 275/40/17, J&M lower control arms, BMR anti-squat brackets, BMR adjustable panhard bar, BMR adjustable upper control arm, stock 3.31 gears, driveshaft, transmission, and all internals.

Slips are from left to right, last run, middle run, the first run.

If you watch the last video clip, it was a dragster. I hate it when they put me next to them lol. Nothing will make your fastest ET yet feel slow like running next to a dragster.

Nitrous is probably my next mod. I was going to be purchasing it next month, but the money I'd saved for that has to go towards some equipment for my studio, so it probably won't be until spring. I'm thinking hot rod cams and nitrous for spring.

Those were some awesome vids! Is that part of the tuner that allows you to keep your RPM's at one spot until you launch?

You ALMOST had that dragster...SO close.

Yeah, thought you were going to run down the dragster......

What was cool in the dragster vid is while you guys are staging, the exhaust from the dragster sounds like it's yours.....very cool......

Grats, and more details on the two stage please....

you need 4.10's.

also, practice your shifting. seems like you could squeeze a few extra 10ths if you shifted faster. what rpm are you launching at?

also, do a longer burnout

i somehow managed the time in my sig with just an intake/tune and the mickey thompson Et street radials (same size) so anything's possible

I'm not power shifting the 1-2. Wanted to make sure the tires were hooking good, I will be next time. I don't think I could shift the 2-3 any faster though.

As for gears, I'm waiting on that until I get nitrous and cams next spring, to see what I'm trapping at, before I decide on what gear set to go with. As I said, I'm really trying to hit 12's with the 3.31's. AM4.6, you have 3.55's. Makes a bit of a difference. Don't know where you live, but elevation may be a factor as well.

The burnout really feels like I'm holding it forever, lol. But I'm not getting much spin, so I believe I'm doing it long enough. There's plenty of smoke and I'm using 2nd.

The 2 Step is from MSD. It's called the MSD Launch Master. For more information, here's my write-up:

Nice job! On your best run it sounded like you had very little wheel spin off the line. It may just be my crappy laptop speakers or the music and I just didn't hear it.

Were you tweaking anything between runs??

In regards to a longer burnout, burnout length and such depend on track conditions (temp, prep, etc.) and how it's hooking. A longer burnout isn't always the answer.
