Has anyone driven without mufflers?
I did this just before I installed my slp loudmouths, it sounded the same as it did with the slp's installed ,the sound is awesome at idle, quiet on the highway when you want them to be and nasty with the rpm's up, and also absolutely no drone whatsoever, thats coming from myself, someone that has them not someone talking about them that wishes they would have went with slp's.

I took mine off for a few days just to see what it sounded like. If you do it, take off the pipes coming off your h pipe too, otherwise theyll just be hanging there and slapping around. I drove with an open h-pipe for a few days. It sounds good once you get into the throttle, but at idle and low rpm's it sounds like an old muscle car with a REAL BAD exhaust leak. Not to mention the attention it gets....but when you floor it and bang the gears, it sounds pretty badass. haha. Youll be over all the noise in a few days though.
I did it for a while. Then I did exactly what one of the posters on the 1st page said their friend did. Had my shop cut off my mufflers, weld in some piping and a 3 1/2" longtube rolled tip. I've had it that way for almost a year now and still love it.
what ever way you choose to do it eliminating the muffler is your best bet ,slp or make your own, also what is loud to some is not to others, keep that in mind, go for a ride with some one that has them and you will (hear what i mean).
