There is a reason that auto glass removal/replacement is a trade in and off itself, it is very specialized work. Glad to hear you are ok. I would suggest that you bring your car into the local auto glass installer and have him fix you up right!!

Wow. That's the worst install story I've heard for these.

As far as paint match, they're usually dead on. Call Marcello on Monday. He'll get you fixed up.

This is exactly why I let my Ford dealer do it. If it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any at all. Sounds like you're the same. My dealer did mine for $75. They chipped the paint and fixed it for free.

I am usually pretty good with mods. This was just one of those things that happened. My fault for not having the glasses on. Im also not sure If me doing this when it was 110 degrees out was bad. Ill post pics when everything is fixed. Going to Walmart right now for some full safety glasses.

The SHR louvers don't look all that great in the first place. Still just looks like something else someone 3m'd to their car. If there was a way to get rid of the gap all the way around so it looked like it was made into the body, then it would look ok.

What he said^^^ I was wanting to have the body shop fill in the gap&sand/smooth paint it to match then it would look right imo

Take a sandwich bag full of that glass and tape it to the lid of your tool box as a little reminder every time you open it. It's funny how soon we forget little mistakes and repeat them.

All you can say about that is DAMN.
I took the lazy out, Lots of tape, a little more tape, then some tape and a center punch and hammer. 20 miuntes cleanup new louvers in, it's all good. By the way, I think if a survey was done, SHR louvers would win hands down as the best looking availbale, IMO.
Glad you're O.K. though.
