V6 or a GT 'old exhaust'?
Did you get the complete Borla cat-back system?
Or just the Borla axle back(s). H-Pipe included?
Cant price from such a brief description.
Was the 'old exhaust' damaged in any way during removal?
How many miles was there on 'the old exhaust'/

You can safely ask half of what you paid for the Borla for the GT take-off
as per the mustang forums etiquette guidelines.

(Take-off mufflers from a M/T GT run anywhere from $5-$50 on eBay + S/H)

Sorry, here is some more info on them.
They are GT exhaust, brand new (as in i just bought the brand new mustang and had the borla's put on before i even got the car, so they probably had like 10 miles put on them). I only got the mufflers, and from what i can see there didnt see to be any damage. Thanks for the advice though.

I would get $50 since the neighbor wants them and it requires no S/H charges.
M/T or AUTO GT?
The M/Ts are worth more than AUTO GT take-offs.

What does the neighbor plan on doing with your AUTO GT mufflers?
Duals on a V6?

Worthless unless the neighbor need them for his rearended AUTO GT.
They are even quieter than the M/T V6 muffler.
Whats you neighbor own and what are his intentions for the AUTO GT take-off muffs?
I used my old V6 muffler on my lawnmower and now I can mow in the early daylight
hours when its cool and not disturb the sleeping neighbors.

Yea thats what i thought too, but he said that his mustang, which i think is an 06, has just regular stock exhaust and my stock exhaust is actually in upgrade to his, he says that his doesnt have chrome and the tips arent rolled? I dont know but he wants them and i just dont want to screw him over, but i also dont want to just give them to him either.

If he has an AUTO GT without the rolled tips and wants the rolled tips you have,
then its $50. If he has a V6 and wants to do duals instead of the OEM single muffler,
then they will look better but be quieter than his single V6 muffler. Its still $50.
If he has a V6 and wants to do the single GT take-off swap and wants a better sound, forget it. It aint happening. If he just wants a single GT take-off with the rolled tip and cares nothing about the exhaust note then its $50. If hes wants any
type of a louder set-up than he now has, forget it. He will be disappointed and you will have screwed him for $50.

Heck, the muffler shop would give you $50 for new OEM Ford Mustang mufflers.

awesome...that helps alot. I'm pretty sure he knows it wont help in the sound area at all, i think he is looking at appearance. So i think $50 is fair. Thanks again.

Start higher and let him work you down to $50.
That way he will think he is getting a deal?
