Default how can i paint my wheels myself?

ok so i just bought some fanblade wheels and i want to paint them black...i dont want them glossy i want them really dull or almost flat black...i dont want to have them professionally painted, and powdercoating costs my $200...now i dont care to pay to have them powdercoated but i thought if i could try it myself for like $30 to just paint them then why not? my friend did his to his civic si wheels about 6 years ago and there is only one spot that chipped since then so...what do you think and what procedures can i take to do this? thank you

It should be possible. I know there was another member on here awhile ago that painted part of his wheels. It looked really good when he finished. I would have never known that he did it until he said so.

Prep well and take your time. I used a flat black, no clear coat, I didn't want the shine either.
