... 2007 mustang with butterflies? um its fuel injected, no butterflies.

IIRC some cars actually have anti siphon screens at the bottom of the filler neck only way to really find out is shove a hose down and try

I dont think you can! There was a post about locking gas caps and someone said it was pointless cuz you couldnt syphon gas out of these cars anyway!! But stick a hoover down there and try!! (kidding)

I tried a very small hose on my 07 to lower the level before going to the track and I couldn't get to the fuel and I had 3/4 of a tank. I suspect an anti-siphon device of some type in the filler neck.

you also have 2 tanks that are connected. One on each side of the hump. If it was bad gas you will need to pull the tank and drain, unless there is some other method... maybe pulling the fuel pumps and siphoning through there?

The easiest way to remove gas from the tank (without dropping the tank or drilling a hole in it) is to pull the fuel pump out, then siphon it out. Yeah, its a pain in the butt, but it is the least frustrating way to do it.

The problem still may not be bad gas, however. So be prepared for a letdown if you go through with it and it still has a problem. A bunch of things could cause what you describe. Is the check engine light on?

This would definetly be the easiest way and actually it isn't all that hard. The rear seats come out very easy. There are a couple of push tabs that release the lower cushions and the thing pulls out. You can get to you pump right after doing so. Good luck.
