Default Zex install

Hey guys I just recieved my Zex wet kit today (from smythge) and I plan on installing it Sunday. If any of you know of any tutorials they would help out alot. I also have the window switch and Speed of sound switch panel so installs of those would be great too.

Glad you got the kit ok, follow the manual and you shouldn't have any problems. E-mail me and will tell you how I had it wired and and where I had the purge located.

It's very straight forward if you follow the directions, pretty easy install.

Go to your local magazine rack and look in the
September issue of MuscleMustangs&FastFords
for a 'detailed with pics' write-up on the whole ZeX install.

There is a pic of the purple ZeX NO2 bottle on the cover.

was the purge kit easy? There are bunch of little parts and it looks complicated

it was really easy. all you do is tap into the nitrous out line and mount the purge behind the grille. the wiring is all very self explanitory.

you will need to pull off the radiator cover as well as the grille unless you plan on mounting it close to the windshield.

The Speed of Sound switchplate is easy. Take off the driver side front wheel and pull the wheel liner so you can run the wiring to the inside through the rubber plug you will see. On the center console, open the lid and take out the two screws, pull the parking brake up to the full on, if you have an automatic pull up the trim around the shifter (it is held in by friction so lift one edge and you should be able to pull it up easily) and then wiggle the console cover off. I tapped the wires right there for the power point plug in the console for power to the switches and the ground. Drill a hole in the second drink holder for the wiring (pull the false bottom out first) and feed your wiring through. The trim on either side of the radio just pulls straight back once you remove the console cover.
