Motive makes ford gears :/

ive had motive gears in my old camaro and my toyota pick up and had zero problem with them what so ever, i still have a set in my garage somewhere for the mustang, everyone i know who has regeared their vehicle, be it a 4x4, drag car, street vehicle, or dump truck, has motives, and none of them whine

it is all in the install, helical cut gears will not whine if they are installed properly,

FRom what I've heard about the Motive gear story was that there was a certain lot of gears in '06 manufactured for a couple of months that were defective, and Motive quickly fixed the problem. Unless its manufacturing defect like the story above, its a bad install no matter who makes 'em.

Motive doesn't make all of Ford's gears. There are two part numbers. One is Motive, and one is Ford. Generally, though, the Motive ones are cheaper, so if they seem cheap, that's an indicator.

While some people haven't had problems with Motive's, I think more people have whining Motive gears than not.
