what will make me faster? (3.73 gears on an auto)

i heard 4.10s on an auto suck

 

go 410s if you dont you'll be sorry and the pullies are a great idea it will save fuel and free up some power but if you want to FEEL your power go 410s if you want to save fuel go pullies. Just a note your economy will drop with 410s but might kinda sorta balance off if you do both

 

right now my computer says i get 19.8 mpg what do you think i will get with 3.73 and 4.10?

 

I got 3.73's put in my '06 auto GT, and according to the readout on the dash, I lost .5 mpg! Going from 3.31 (stock) to 3.73 not that big of a difference. My rpm's only went up 200

BTW Saw your other thread, I paid 75 and hour @4 hrs for my install, and thats a good deal, they were done right.

 

I just put the UDPs on 2 days ago, I couldn't tell any difference.
Go with the gears.

They are next on my list.

 

with UDP i noticed i went through the rpms a lil quicker, but honestly yea the gas mileage will go down but if u wanna play be willing to pay, its worth it trust me 4:10's FTMFW!!!

The gears will definitely give you the feel of being faster in lieu of the pulleys....as far as which ratio to go with is a matter of opinion. I just had a friend install 4.10's in his auto, he had some issues with the install, and had to get new gears and changed to the 3.73's and is MUCH happier. In his case, the 4.10's were too much for his drive to work everyday.
