Default stock gt whine?

hey i just got my gt (06) on saturday, and i noticed that on acceleration and deceleration theres a whining sound coming from somwhere. Its loud enough to notice it with the shaker 1000 on... i was just wondering if the stock intake is suppose to make that sound? that and it didnt really sound like it came from that part of the engine bay... then i thought about it maybe being the gears, but from what i know they are still stock and only have 14.5k on them...? how would i know if the gears arent stock... i think im at about 2k rpm at 40mph

Yeah, I've heard it too. Infact I even said something about it in my head today. It's more noticeable accelerating with the windows down.

My 05 had a whine from the rear end gears. The dealer replaced them under warranty as there is a TSB out on it. Don't know if it covers 06's as well.

whoops, 4th sorry..

like i dont entirely mind it, makes me and others imagine a s/c =p but like sometimes it can sound a little grinding like.. ill check about 06s on the TSB, thanks

EDIT: i just looked and i think its for 2005-2006... http://www.stangnet.com/images/stori...Bs/05-20-2.pdf

should i take it in or just wait a few months until i can get a steeper gear? like is that sound meaning something bad is going on or is it just a matter of what you can tolerate?

I recently purchased a used 2006 GT and noticed some kind of whooshing air sound during acceleration/deceleration, sounds similar to what you're experiencing. Would this be covered under warranty and eligible for repairs?
