Getting gears installed tomorrow but I still

If I could find a reliable 3.9 set of gears, I'd split the difference between 3.73 and 4.10 on my manual. I drive too many highway miles to go from 3.31 to 4.10. I will say this, anything will be better than 5th gear on 3.31s when running Borla Stingers ABs. The drone between 1,800 rpm and 2,000 rpm in 5th gear (65-75 MPH) for extended stretches is overbearing....

How about Pro 5.0 gears? www.dagostinoracing.com

I like everyone have heard the 3.73's are the choice for auto but if the rpm on the highway is your concern just drive slower. May sound dumb but I've found myself cruising just over 70 ever since I put in my gears compared to the just over 75 I used to do. Either way you can't go wrong gears rock!!! Good luck with your decision

Auto trans here. Went from 3.31 to 4.10s. The rpms were too high for me on the interstate with 4.10s. Plus when I let off the gas, it felt like it had a parachute on the back. Now I have 3.73 and am much happier. Still a BIG improvement over the 3.31.

Do to gearing in the auto tranny 3.73's are pretty much around the equivelant of 3.90's in a manual so putting in 4.10's would be kinda like having 4.30's in a manual. I LOVE 4.10's in my manual but I couldn't imagine cruising down the highway with a set of 4.30's.

The car will pull much smoother and with less effort. It will accelerate the way you know a V8 powered muscle car should. The car will feel 500 lbs lighter.

Hell yea. My friend has the 3.73's and it pulls real hard. It lets the car rev and accelerate faster. 0-60 and 1/4 could improve too. Torque Multiplication!
