Confusion under the armrest

RE: Confusion under the armrest
With the knowledge we get on this forum we could be awsome salespersons. I bet we would do a lot better job than our dealer did. Mine didn't even know how to work the My Color. When I went back to get a Brake light bucket swaped out a salesman walked up with a perspective buyer and asked me if my upgrade wheels were the standard one and then asked me if my car was the performance model. I thought it was suposed to be GT or V6 model. It's a good thing the new Mustang sells itself.

Without reading to manual (if it even says) I can't say what it is for - but it DOES hold sunglasses perfectly. Stick them in there with the lenses up (towards the lid of the console) and the ear peices on the outside and it holds them up at the top nicely. This keeps them from scottin' around and getting scratched against whatever else you throw in the console. My opener fits in there too, so I guess it depends on what type you have.
Or to quote one of my favorite SNL skits from back in the early 90's: "Dude, you can keep your weeeeeed in there!"

I always grab a few paper towels from the local gas station and stuff in there. Nice to have if you need to wipe up a little spill, or to dry the morning dew off the outside rearview mirror, or to stuff in the wife's mouth when she says, "Slow down - you're driving to fas...mprhmprhprmhpmrh!"

There is one in the Ford Escape which of course my wife knew it was for a tissue box. but i use mine to keep a microfiber towel stuffed in there in case i need to wipe the car down (actually got that idea from one of these forums).

Best idea yet.
