CAI users CHIME IN! Intake sound\ Induction noise

I didn't here any difference but then again, the Stingers may have had something to do with it. Or was it the lack of blood to the brain due to the hard-on from the change in performance from the CAI & tune...?

I am quite frankly very surprised at the people that did not notice a difference. I went from stock to the C&L race CAI and a brenspeed tune, and there is a HUGE difference. First, when I hit the throttle there is the sudden WHOOSH of air. Once the air is flowing you cannot hear it, but even going from no throttle to quarter throttle there is a sweet sound. Second, my exhaust (totally factory) is easily 40% louder. I was very surprised at how much louder it got. At idle it sounds the same, and at cruise there is almost zero sound from the exhaust, just the way I like it. When I punch the throttle, I get the Whoosh, then the exhaust note starts just in front of the tranny with a growl, then as the RPMs climb it rapidly moves to the back of the vehicle with a very nice roar. Considerably louder than factory, and totally due to the tune, not the intake, but since one goes with the other...
Now I have a convertible, so perhaps I notice the sounds a lot more than a hard top. All the noises change when the top goes up, including the gear noise from those damn motive gears. Before the intake I heard no air being sucked in when I throttled, and I am incredibly happy with the change.

40% louder? I don't see that happening... but anyway, to the OP, when i added my bbk intake, all i noticed was that "whoosh" sound from the intake. When i loaded my 93 tune, the car sounded very different. A bit deeper and idle was louder. (SLP LM's at the time)
