Default CAI users CHIME IN! Intake sound\ Induction noise

Ok, Im going to be putting a bama\Brenspeed Cai tuner package on soon. But first I was wondering how much of a change in sound i can expect. On previous cars intakes have made a HUGE sound difference, but I'm not sure on the mustang as it has no silencers on the stock air box... I also know metal intakes are some times louder (significantly) than plastic ones... Basically I'm looking for that wicked intake growl I've achieved on previous rides.

So does an intake \ tune make this car louder? I'd love to hear personal accounts from BBK\CL street\ ANY other metal intakes VS JLT\CL Racer\etc Plastic intake users to see if there really is a difference in sound between the two materials...

NOTE: By intake growl i don't mean whooshing sucking air noises, those are cool but they should happen with any intake... I mean the growl\ pulsating roar that you get with an intake...

I have the JLT2. I changed my axle back before putting on the CAI/Tune so that might have something to do with it. But I didn't notice much if any difference.

you need louder exhaust if you can hear your intake sucking in air

I've always been able to hear a quick whoosh\gulp of air when I mashed the throttle of any car with an intake, regardless of how loud the exhaust, Under accelleration of course, its drowned out, but that initial gulp will always be heard.

Again, its not the sucking of air im looking to hear, its the louder deeper engine noise that i've encountered many times before when installing an intake.

Well. when I added my JLT II, I definitely noticed it was louder & deeper at WOT. I did not notice any sound change at idle. The throttle response was also improved as the lag/delay was eliminated.

with the tune eliminating the throttle lag/delay, is there any need to do this throttle response mod or is it just a waste of time?

Just a question. Did you have the exhaust mods in your sig BEFORE the bbk?
