Has anyone switched from the Pypes MM to another AB muffler? I just had the Kooks LT's in stalled with catted h-pipe and it sounds great at idle and a bit of load but at WOT throttle it trumpets very loud. Just not sure if I like the sound or not. Unfortunately I was not smart enough to keep the original parts when the MM was installed so I'd have to replace some piping if I switch to a different AB. Just curious if anyone has made the switch.

Yes, I went with the Kooks LT w/catted pipe kit from Brenspeed.

 

what exactly are downpipes? i am also wondering about a different muffler on the pypes mm system, since thats what i have...HeavyG do you have a sound clip? i wanna get longtubes but i have an X-pipe on mine right now and i love the sound.

 

MM sounds alot better with the x-pipe

 

Tombstand - I think you are right. I've listened to some clips of my exact same set-up but with the x and they sound a lot better.

I'm working on getting some sound clips.

 

Kooks LT, with Kooks high-flow cat/x-pipe, with pypes MM is the perfect sound to me...

Yeah me too, just don't have the funds right now to get it done. But man does it sound sick!!!

 

im just wondering what a different muffler would sound like on that...or maybe no mufflers at all..
