IMO Longtubes are only going to benefit a forced induction car...that is were you will see this claimed gains that are advertised. (or heavy modded N/A car)
Otherwise they are just adjusting the power band and giving a peak number while you are loosing in the low and mid-range.
You stick these on a stock mustang and you think you are gaining 25 horses you are crazy....it is simple mechanics....more air in...the ability to use it...and then the ability to expel it....think of a garden hose...you have the same amount of water coming thru the hose but you go and get a bigger hose....it will dribble out compared to if you stick your thumb on the end it will fly out.

When i put mine on i didnt feel any lost low end power. I already have CMDPs too.
Now, if you have not had any other exhaust mods done to this point, you might feel some lost torq if you put LTs, o/r pipe and new mufflers on at the same time. Generally some torq will be lost since you are losing backpressure. I already had all my exhaust done when i put my LTs on, so for me, i didnt feel any loss in power or torq from the LTs alone.
You should certainly notice more power in the higher RPMs with these changes though.

The gains from mostly all come from the x pipe...
I can prove this...let me find the 5.0 mag that did this very test...gain 12 horses total...thats with an offroad pipe as well...
The side by side number from stock...then with cai and tune...then with long tubes and x pipe all tell the story...
I have had 6 mustangs, been doing this since I was 15...Long Tubes are great when put on the right application.
