i agree with the above.. BUT i thought about doing one on mine.. and it would require too much.. an easy way to go around it would be your clutch pedal sensor.. rig something so it stays depressed.. and then you would be abel to start the car without the clutch having to be in..

as long as you lock your E-brake.. and i mean lock it.. not just pull it up a inch or two like i do with mine.. i think even if it was in gear it wouldnt go anywhere and just stall.. dunno tho.. i guess anyhting is possible and woudl deff make me nervous in a parking lot..

I did it too mine with the clifford avantguard 5.1. Clifford says its designed for manual? uhh w/e but you just bypass the clutch sw at the pedal. I installed it myself but I have 4 years of technician training and 5 years of experience and im ase certified in electrical. 80+ wires I probably wouldn't reccomend it for a DIY project.

But it can be done you just get in the habit of nuetral and parking brake. and if your on a hill you know you can't start your car because if im on a hill i leave it in reverse.

Oh yeah and btw it will start, it cranks for a couple seconds and if it doesnt start it waits 10 seconds and trys again and if it doesnt start it waits another 10 seconds and cranks again. It does it 3 times so I guarantee on the 2nd or 3rd time it will. My dad left my car in gear one day with the parking brake barely on and it started luckily i was able to stop it, boy what an experience that was....

I put a python 990 alarm remote start on my car. Just bypassed the clutch. But I have been a car audio installer for years. I wouldn't recommend doing it yourself. Prob. cost about 5-600 at a decent shop.

Why not have a VIN, or Vehicle In Neutral switch.
Why is everyone, even those with 5 years experience
overlooking the obvious safe choice for a remote start
in a manual?
