Default 100,000 Mile Warranty for 2006+?

I came across a Ford employee recently who told me that all Ford vehicles from 2006 onward are covered with 100,000 mile warranties. He said that means the 3 year, 36,000 mile warranty my car came with is actually for up to 100,000 miles. I did some research on this but could find nothing that confirmed it. I saw that Ford extended some warranties on some vehicles for engines and transmissions, but I can't be sure that this is the same thing. Anyone know anything about this?

Umm, I don't really know much about the warranty besides the fact that I purchased the extended warranty on my 2009, and it lasts 100,000 miles.

I believe that ford gives a 3yr- 36000 mile bumper to bumper and a 6yr- 100,000 mile powertrain warranty. I recieved this warranty when I bought my Certified preowned 06 stang but still bought an extended warranty so I would have 7 yr- 100,000 mile bumper to bumper. Hopes this helps.

The warranty is 3 years 36k for bumper to bumper and 5 years 60k for drivetrain. GM offers 100k mile powertrain warranties on all 08+ model years.

Any 2006 purchased after July 14th of 2006 is covered by a 3yr/36K bumper to bumper and 5yr/60K powertrain warranty. This goes for all 07,08, and 09 models as well.

2005 models and 2006 models purchased before July 14th of 2006 are covered strictly by a 3yr/36K bumper to bumper. No extended drivetrain.

Whoever told you 100K is misinformed.

Well please feel free to call ford and let thm know they are misinformed. I call the dealer who sold me my car and told them the 100,000 miles they put on my warranty paper work was wrong but they wouldnt change it.

Straight from the ford website:
Ford Motor Company stands behind every Certified Pre-Owned vehicle with a tremendous warranty to provide you peace of mind.

All Ford CPO Vehicles now (effective April 2, 2008) come with a 6-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty coverage!

6-year/100,000-mile warranty provides:
Coverage for the engine, transmission and more.
Fully transferable warranty to future owners at no cost!
Roadside assistance (24 hours a day, seven days a week) including:
Towing
fuel-fill
lock-out services
The powertrain limited warranty is part of Ford's commitment to:
Deliver more standard safety equipment
Provide more advanced technology
Offer more value
Grant more enjoyment
Present more satisfaction
We want everything about your Ford to work as hard as you do.

I am very disappointed in FORD that they could be so misinformed about their own poilcies.

I bought mine in November of 2005 and it only came with a 3 yr/36k warranty. The 5yr/100k came a few months later. I was pissed.

I think the 100K is for the emision system only, unless you pay extra.
