Well "better" is opinionated in this case. The V6 should get better gas mileage than the V8 and the V6 should also be cheaper than the V8. It all depends on how you look at it. But those are probably 2 of the biggest reasons why a V6 would be "better" than a V8.

...but that still doesn't make the v-6 better.

LOL, IMHO chicks will bother you less in a cheaper V6 car so you will have more time for school!

Wow, prepare the flame suit, especially when this gets moved to ot

I have to say that there's no way to win that argument in the first place, it's all based on opinion, for every 10 people who agree with you, 12 are going to disagree.

I have a few reasons though:

1. You don't like to go fast
2. You prefer to spend more money matching GT performance

ok now that I'm done being bias, here are a few possible reasons

1. insurance rates
2. cost

I don't think MPG should really be a factor, ford rates the v6 at 17/26 and the v8 at 15/23. Not much of a difference IMO, now if the v6 got 20/30 then we would be onto something.

You can buy them really cheap used ...

You have more money to spend on appearance, handling and audio mods ...

You'll have a good excuse to buy a new Mustang (GT) ....

Honestly I love my car ... but when I thought it was totalled in a wreck I was at the dealer getting ready to buy a GO GT ... I was bummed when it wasn't totalled ... but quickly got over it by installing a GT500 kit during the repair.

Simple answer: It's not, that's why so many people try to make their sixer look like a GT.

I don't want my V6 to look like a GT. I bought what I wanted and it wasn't that I couldn't afford a GT, I just didn't like the big fog lights on the front.

Like most chicks really know the difference.
As far as appearance, there is very little between the GT and V6. In fact, the V6 shares many of the same parts as the Shelby GT500.
