Default Those running shocks/struts other than adjustables...

I've used the search SEVERAL times and still haven't found all the info I am seeking, so that is my reasoning for starting a new thread.

Just wanted to get some opinions on other struts/shocks other than the notorious Tokicos or Koni's adjustables. I got the FRPP springs (by the way blueovalindustries.com has them for $120 right now) and I was contemplating getting the FRPP (and still am) but wanted some thoughts, the good and the bad, and pros and cons. Obviously my thinking is this - I don't want to spend that much money on adjustables if I don't need them. The car is a DD and will see minimal drag strip time, maybe a couple times a year at most. I am okay with sacrificing some ride quality for a little better handling. I would also like some thoughts on other shocks/struts setups that are cheaper than the tokicos and konis. I would also like to limit the responses to only those people who HAVE had personal experience with the shocks/struts that you are commenting about. Please, no responses about your friends brothers uncle that has FRPP or another brand and doesn't like them! Thanks in advance!

anything by ford racing will be better than stock in my opinion.. hate to say it but when it comes down to bang/buck the tokico dspecs cant be beaten, regardless of the koni adjustable advantages, the dpsecs can be had for 500 shipped to your door.

go to the "handling performance" section and post this. or ask a mod to move it. there was some talk before about the tokico hp's and also bilsteins (i think). sam strano has experience with all of them i believe.

Thanks alot siberian. I am seriously considering just going with these, since it seems most people have these and have nothing but good things to say...

In addition, can somebody do a quick summary of what these "control arms" are all about? I have read that some people do upper and lower control arms, the lowers being adjustable and the uppers not. I know this has been discussed before, but I didn't find my exact answers in the searches I've done. I'm assuming these help with traction? Are they worth the money at the track? Thanks again!

lca's will definately help at the track. get rid of the wheel hop, the small amount i had with my v6 was cured so you probably need them even more than i did.
