I installed a locking gas cap not long after purchasing my car 1.5 years ago. All was well until this week I get a gas cap error light periodically on my dash. A quick hit of the reset clears it but I haven't even looked in there to see what sensor may be causing it. My cap is tight and everything looks good. I'd like to just disable all these "courtesy" alerts but I know that will be extensive, like when I researched replacing my seats and steering wheel with aftermarket units and realized there are so many sensors in each it would be a bear of a job.

any ideas on this one?
