Default Speedometer always +2 mph

Passed a "Check Your Speed" radar sign the other day and noticed my speedo was off 2mph. So I got out my stop watch and hit the freeway. 25 mile markers later my odometer is dead on. So I time myself for a mile with my cruise set at 60, 70 and 80 miles. My speedo always shows 2 mph higher than actual speed. Basically it looks like my analog guage needs to be adjusted -2mph.

Anyone out there try this?
Any quick fix that doesnt screw up my odometer?

The worst part is all the time I lost going 2mph slower than I thought I was going?

Mine always shows at least 20-30MPH over the posted speed

Nothing I can do to fix that other than to do a lead foot delete but, ehhhh i never plan to do so LOL

Joking aside LOL Sometimes changing wheel or tire sizes can read different on those "Check your speed" things.

if you have a handheld tuner, check to make sure your axle ratio and revs/mile match your rear end ratio and your tire size

That means your tires are spining faster than they should be for that speed. I think you need to increase the the tire size or the revolutions per whatever in the handheld and reload the tune.

Mine too. I asked Ford about it and they said they could fix it. Unfortunately my work schedule and laziness at home have kept me from getting back there.

Were you traveling in the direction of the earths rotation or against it.
It makes a bid difference with those "your speed is" signs.
Most of those say you are going faster than you really are.
There are internal offset switches on those darned contraptions.
Heck I set this one to be 100MPH faster (that was the maximum allowed offset) than the actual speed just for fun.
