I got in contact with a buddy who can order parts for my GT500 conversion through his shop. I read in another thread that Pascal had mentioned that prices had already gone up once so far this year and will again before the year is out. I talked to my wife and we seem to be in agreement that even though I didnt plan on upgrading till this winter (and not ordering till then either), I'd better see how bad the situation had changed price wise. I just got the sheet back with the parts listed and here is what I have found:

So, already its gone up $160. I intend on running this past the wife again tonite, and hopefully ordering it tomorrow. It'll suck having the parts sitting here and not installing them for a few months, but I really don't wanna lose the mustang early anyway. It'll give me something to do to it while its tucked away from the sleet and snow over the winter.


On a side note, if anyone who has done this conversion notices anything missing or a part number wrong, please lemme know. I did omit the two inner wheel wells and the wiring assembly since I was told I can make do without.

why is this the case when the new GT500's are right around the corner?

Keep in mind every dealer can see the parts for different costs. I saw $150 difference when pricing the assembly over a year ago. Some of the ford sites on the net will beat your dealers price but you also have to pay shipping so its a wash probably.

Its local. Not 15 miles away and also the dealer I bought my car from originally. But in saying that, I think I'm gonna have to check onto shipping and just see what it would amount too....Hell, just the last two parts are a difference of $60....Can you send me or post a link where you priced them through please?
