Default rev limiter

Is a Predator or Xcalibrator the only way to get rid of the rev limiter? I hate that thing, all dumping off my power when I want it!!!

When I bought my car I only figured in insurance and gas expenses... I told myself it has all the power I need, but here I am...

The Diablo Predator does it all while you sit in the driver's seat...

It will allow you to make many changes instantly and when you feel comfortable about it, you can select "load program"...

If you not do like the way the car is running, just hook up the Predator again, make new changes and load it...

X-Box can not do this without sending the unit back to the dealer and requesting changes...

Too much time spent mailing the unit back and forth...

BE SMART - GET A DIABLO PREDATOR...

I have seen the Predator priced at $399 multiply places online, that appears to be the best price available.

You have to send the XCal back? Huh? Ummm I think you're wrong on that one.

There's a program SCT offers (free) that you can download from their site that will allow you to modify your own tunes and load them into the XCal.

While I would have liked the LCD of the Predator, it wasn't available for the 4.0 when I got my tuner. (not sure if it is now or not)

I also plan on installing one of those ODBII Dyno things (I know they're not perfect, but at least it gets you close to a dyno readout) and have a laptop mount in my back seat. So, since the laptop is already going to be in there, it makes updating the XCal tunes pretty easy.

Umm..based on the mods in your sig, have you done a tune since you put those on? One of the things about the 05 models is they require a tune to really take advantage of ANY mod. Even a CAI. As for the rev limiter, you sure that's what you're hitting and not the Traction control kickin' in that's keepin your wheels from spinnin'? You have to turn it off EVERY time you start the car. Traction control will cut power to the engine at any RPM if it feels the rear wheels are spinnin...
