Default which gas ??

I have an 08 gt all stock... ive been using 93 from sonoco.. i was told that using octane higher then whats recomemned can actually be bad for car... is this true ? what should i buy?

the higher the octane the cleaner it burns its not bad for your car

Higher octane from the pump will not do ANY damage to your car. After all the manual says MINIMUM octane rating, nothing about MAXIMUM But you will be wasting your money. (Its like paying for extra channels on cable when you do not watch them...) But I think that buying from a reputable gas station might make a difference.

Thanks for the info Riptide. I put Chevron gas in my stang, and its good to know that they are on that list.

as long as its not "octane booster". you are good to go with 93.......if you don't already have one, have your gt tuned for the gas and cai

Right, unless you are tuned for the higher octane you are just throwing money away -- and at today's gas prices why toss away good funds. It has been tested many times and there is no benefit on a car designed to run on 87 octane.
