??? on convertible top
Hello
Any advice on caring for the top. I have had my car for about 3 weeks already noticing creases that dont seem to be coming out when top is raised. Also does anyone have lines on ouside of top? These lines are smooth looking compared to other areas? Any suggestions on good cleaners, this is my 1st convertible. I have wanted a Mustang vert for years, but really need a truck/suv. Saw the 05 and could no longer resist!!
Thanks
Cherie

The smooth "lines" you mention are the points where the top attaches to the folding metal structure.
The creases, I've noticed them when I put the top back up, but usually they're gone pretty quickly. The longer the top is down, the more pronounced the wrinkles are. Stubborn ones should go away after some sun/ shade cycles because the top will soften and stretch, then shrink back up.
So far I haven't used cleaner on mine, I just go over it with a soft brush while washing the car. Then I dry it with a chamois, water drops will leave little dirt spots otherwise.
Enjoy!

My Wife's name is Cher also.
I always used Meguiar’s convertible top cleaner on my convertibles. I've noticed it works great on vinyl tops but not as well on the canvas tops, especially the lighter colored ones.
On my 66 mustang, the creases were so bad I had to carefully fold the top to make sure it would not creas to badly. The creasing problem is not as bad on the newer cars and less noticeable on darker colored tops. MY last convertible had a parchment top and the crease marks were terrible.
Good luck with your convertible.
