Default burning oil

I've had my GT for about three weeks. It has just under 1200 miles on it. I ocassionally run it up to about 4000 rpm. Sometimes when i get out I smell a burnt oil smell out the pipes. Open the hood up and there's no problem. Is this something that comes along with having a new engine, or should I be concerned?

Kick that bad boy up to 6000 rpm once a day, and clear its throat out!!

Seriously, it looks like we are in similar situations (3 weeks, 1400 miles for me), and I haven't smelled burned oil. Brakes and rubber, yes -- oil, no.

don't freak out dude that's just the preserves on he pipes and some other places in the car that are heating up. This will go away with use. Don't need to rev it up.
