Default Permanent thread

I am not a moderator on the site, nor do I think I know enough to write a topic on this, but I remember when I was in the v6 section, they had a permanent thread which was written by vcs_ssstang. It was about what basic mods or bolt-ons can be put onto our cars in order to improve performance. I was thinking maybe that should be put up for a lot of new comers, and would cut down on a lot of the questions of what to get next, or where to start. Any ideas who can do this and when if someone will actually do it?

It would not help as much as one might think, as most people don't use the search, or look at the stickys, that would be too much like having to work.
