I need some help here i need some advice im reaady to purchase my shorty headers and i got a great deal on Mac thier cheaper than bbk and jba and their ceramic coated is thier much diffrence than bbk and jba? will i pretty much get the same power amd sound?

I dont think the macs are tuned length, which is the whole point in switching from stock manifolds to shorties. I wouldnt buy mac shorties.

just so you know if you cant put these on yourself you will spend about 300-400 bucks on the install....

So what would be the best way to go? bbk tune shorty headers?

yeah thats alot but i have a buddy of mine thats installing them for cheap he has his own shot but yeah labor on headers are expensive

yeah the bbk ceramics from brenspeed are only $370 which isnt too bad. i think the jba ceramics are better than the bbk's, but they do cost a bit more.

The MAC shorties only come with 1.75" primary tubes, which is a little big for a N/A car.
Unless you're getting a blower, I think you should get some stainless steel JBA's.

I don't think the tuned length is a big deal. The thing that you want to avoid is all of the exhaust emptying into the same section of the manifold like the stock setup. Aftermarket shorty headers provide a separate exhaust tube for each cylinder and empty into a common collector which prevents the exhaust gases from bumping into each other and impeding their exit the way they do in the stock manifold.

Don't give in to the "ceramic" crowd. Ceramic headers are WAY overpriced for what they actually do. IMO
