Default A little help...

Do these look funny to anyone? Are knockoffs necessarily of lesser quality? Im thinking of picking these up, if you have any advice it would be much appreciated.

Thanks...

I would look around some. When I was pricing out chrome bullits, I found them cheaper at a couple other sites than they were at customwheelsmarket.

Ive seen sets of these and other finishes in the Mustang car magazines. Black, Chrome, "Arizona Beige", etc. It pays to shop around.

Same width as a 17x8... probably 255s.

lostsoul... one question: Why 18s? If you are going to have 450hp, I guarantee you are going to have trouble finding good 18" tires to handle the hp. That's why I went to 17s.

I knew my SC wasn't far down the road, and I couldn't find a 18" tire that was both wider and taller than the stock 235/55s. I was looking for a 285/45-18... no luck. I did find a 295/45-18, but it needs a 10" wheel (and I never found an 18x10 chrome bullitt with the correct 2005 offset).

With that much hp, you surely don't want a shorter tire... right? A 285/40-18 and a 275/40-18 are both shorter than the stock tire. And, you may need an 18x10 wheel for the 285s (but an 18x9 would probably work). Also, for traction, you'll probably want some sidewall height... 40s are thinner than stock, too.

Hey, it's your car, pal... but think about this. What good is 450hp if you can't plant it??

OK...maybe I left my original call for help a little too open ended...
Has anyone purchased black Bullitt wheels for an 05 mustang in 18X9 with approximately 36mm offset?
If so, from where and do you have a picture of how they look?

Thanks...

mark
