I do have AAA but I am not sure I want someone jamming a metal stick down my window.
I use to have an 04 F150 with the keypad on the door and I would leave my keys in the truck so I wouldnt have to carry them around. I guess I got a little too use to that.

Been there, done that. Very validating to us old farts, though... At least I'm not the only dim wit, thank you! LOL!
I heard someone say that you can have someone on a cell phone push the unlock button on your spare remote and you can hold your cell by the car and it'll open. I think it's a bunch of BS myself.

I did this about a month ago. Key were on the passanger seat. I figured popping the lock was going to be a pita on a newer car but withing 20 seconds with a modified coat hanger between the drivers window and the rubber it popped. I popped my share of locks before and was shocked how easy it was to get into the stang.

Been there done that (locking keys in my 08 GT) Fortuneatly if the keys are in the ignition the doors won't lock. I lucked out. I had intially called my wife since my old 00 would lock no matter what. I decided to simply try the door and viola! It opened. Had to call the wife back and let her know the car was smarter than me.

I can't figure out how you got the door to lock without using the remote...
But yes, just get a coat hanger and wire clippers to clean it up so it doesn't scratch too much. Maybe put down some tape above the door. The rubber that meets the window seems pretty soft so a coat hanger should fit in the easily.
I would suggest doing this on the passenger side, if the window breaks you won't have to worry about leaks on the driver's side! We all know about the leaks on the passenger side, right?

Pass the hidden magnet by the hidden reed switch in your door trim.
Oh yea, thats only on my Stang. Sorry, you need Pop-A-Lock.
Door unlock wire is DARK BLUE/LITE GREEN
