I would never use one of the black vinyl type of bras.
Every one I have ever looked under had paint damage.
There was way more damage than the bugs / rocks would have done.

I installed the hood/fender kit, light kit, and bumper kit this week end. Not too bad, but you definately get better as you go along...might want to practice first on another car. Also, the kit they sell works for the GT bumper, but it is not the correct match for the V6 bumper. They are working on a V6 specific kit after I called and told them the story.

I liked the photo of the "clear bra". Are you sure it's there? Or is that a photo of a regular front end? LOL
Guess I'd have to feel it to tell.
The photo of the real bra for $120 makes the front end look way too dark. Plus you lost the part of the vehicle that looks great with those 2 stripes!
For the other question, yes, if you leave a regluar bra on your car, it will cause a difference due to the paint under it not being oxidized like the rest of the hood. So unless you enjoy constant waxing, just use the bra when you go on long road trips or if you live in Bug Country.
