I wanna get black racing stripes put on my 05 gt from front bumper to back bumper, and I'm wondering how much to get painted on. Any Ideas?

 

no clue but it look bad *** my bumber to bumber come with the car when i bought it new.

 

Probably like 2-3k They pretty much have to re clear most of the car as far as I know...

It depends on your location.

I've had multiple quotes from well known/recommended shops in rural AL that will do it from $600-800.

 

I've asked a few places here where I am at and I know Macco will do it for 500 bumper to bumper and I also went to a known body shop here in town and he told me that he'd do it for $550. Doesn't sounds like it is all that expensive to be honest. He also said that he would go any width that I wanted. Hope this helps!

 

Its depends on where you go. The place I spoke with said that they only clear coat the stripes so, yes, there is a bit of a lip but he even said that clear coating the entire car would still leave a little bit of a lip. The only way to get rid of the lip completely is to paint the stripes the same time the whole car is painted.

Again, this is just what one shop told me.

 

You pay 2000 -3000 so there is no lip. They dont reclear the whole car. Just the panels that are getting striped. They sand the base color down, paint the stripes, spray the clear, sand the clear then apply an extra specail buffing.
I paid 2400 for my stripes and they are show quality and are basically like a tatoo - no edge.

If You just spay stripes over your paint and then clear well it will look like Maco did it.
You get what you pay for and I would suggest looking at some examples from other stripe jobs.
