I paid 2400 for my stripes and they are show quality and are basically like a tatoo - no edge.

If You just spay stripes over your paint and then clear well it will look like Maco did it.
You get what you pay for and I would suggest looking at some examples from other stripe jobs.

I have to say....your sig picture does your car no justice. This pic is sooo much better!! The car looks really good.

As to the OP's question...I suppose it truly does depend where and who does your stripes. My bodyman "Mark" truly underestimated himself when he did my car. I paid $1900'ish for my cervini parts to be painted and installed...and for my stripes (top and sides). Mine are also under the clear-coat....the only real way to have them done IMO. He did a darn good job too.

the body shop that just did all the work on my car quoted me $700-750 to paint the supersnake stripe, then clear the complete top half

I paid a local body shop $1,000 for gloss black/clear coat on hood, chin spoiler, rear spoiler and between tail lights.

I had a brand new hood, C/S Front and Rear bumper painted, striped, cleared (along with the roof, trunk, and spoiler) complete for $1800. Smooth as silk too.

Figure $1800-2500 for stripes buried in clear with no edges at all. Buffed for show and the car will take on a whole other level of class and style IMO. If the car is black or a dark color that may drive the cost up a bit as there can be no flaws as dark paint will show every mistake the shop made and it will be evident in sunlight or florescent lights.
