Default got the steeda strut brace installed!!

well, i got the steeda strut brace installed. it does fit with the factory plenum cover but it touches slightly. it doesnt rattle or transfer noise so it doesnt really bother me. the biggest pain during install was mounting the steeda name plate to the brace. the screws are allmost microscopic. (and blend in with garage floors when dropped lol)

here's some pics, enjoy...

let me know what you think.

if it touches, remember the engine shakes and moves alot.

you can actually lower the cover a 1/4 inch. there are rubber grommets that hold a wire harness to it. The cover lifts off, and then take the grommets off the studs and put them on top of the cover mounts. That will give you about 1/4 inch. My BMR rubbed a bit, that trick worked.

it just barely touches. after install i set the parking brake very tight and "mock launched" to get the engine to torque over (kind of like power braking a manual) and it didnt move enough to concern me at all. if issues come up i will defenatly remember that 1/4 inch trick you mentioned though. thanks.

thanks man, im thinking the next dress up step for the engine bay are the factory look-alike fuel rail/valve cover plastic covers. but thanks again, i appriciate all the positive feedback.

well, i want to say yes, but it could just be imaginary because i just installed it today. i'll get back to you in a couple days when the "brand new" factor wears off.
