Today while driving my 08 stang I noticed some sort of sticky grayish residue inside the gap of the black driver side mirrors mounting bracket that attaches to the exterior of the vehicle. It kind of looks like some type of adhesive residue but I did not think that any type of adhesive is used for the mounting of the mirrors. It only appears to be present on the driver's side. Has anyone else noticed this on their stang? I plan on removing the mirror tomorrow as I am a total neat freak and I can see this bothering me in the future but just wanted to check the forum first.
