Default Procharger Just Installed & E55 AMG Pulls UP :-)

So the Procharger was finally installed at Steeda.ca. I received the kit / powder coated all the clamps / powdered the valve covers the colour of the car and ceramic coated all the intake pipes. I also applied a Heat dispersement coating on the intercooler to increase cooling capacity. I am very happy with it. Its hard to get used to the way in comes in hard at 3000+ RPM just driving around town...BUT when driving it hard.....this makes the car easier to hook and use the power.

My car is stock motor / .410 gears / 5spd / with bolt on P1SC PROCHARGER with base procharger tune. / The car also has very sticky 305-35 -20'S ON it ....which hook very well .....even with the charger on.

Cheers,

With the base tune .....from Pro-Charger....that has a very conservative 11 degrees of timing it made 400hp at the wheels with a hot motor. With 18 degrees of timing....it should easily make another 50-70 at the wheels. The fuel duty cycles were maxed out on the pumps....so I ordered a Shelby 500 pump....before I mess with the timing.

It is good for now. I might not mess with it at all.....until I do crank / rods / pistons....just to be safe.

Cheers

Nice car, and that s/c looks wicked. Im waiting for steeda.ca to install some stuff but they are loafting like no tomorrow. If you dont mind, im curious as to how much it cost as I am planning on going with a supercharger probably through them aswell.

They charged $7500.00 CND out the door.....including taxes and dyno tune.

I am surprised you only hit 400rwhp, especially with 5spd. I hit 459 through an auto with just the mods in signature. ProCharger tuned my car on their Mustang dyno, and they said they left it a little conservative because of its intended use. Which is not a ***** out racer, just a car with some added fun built in. Granted my torque was only 384, but a 5 spd should be closer to 400-425. I have just the dual pump set-up with no lean issues.

The ProCharger kit comes with the Diablo tuner pre-tuned with a base tune which is super safe.....only 11 degrees of timing. Steeda told me they ussually tune for 18 degrees with 94 Octane .....and to expect 10-15 hp per degree of timing I add. So that is 70-90 hp easily bby just bumping up the timing...which would put it in the 470-490 RWHP RANGE. We didn't add timing since the fuel pump duty cycle was 100% .....SO TO PLAY IT SAFE i am adding the GT500 Fuel pump before I bump the timing. Prochargers kit compensates the borderline fuel delevery by specifing 60 psi fuel pressure......which falls to 40psi under full load....which is still safe.....but add 70-90 hp....and it is not as safe.

I am sure if it was tuned at procharger, that you have more than 11 degrees timing in it.?
