Eliminating Drone - Need Opinions
Hi everyone. Need some opinions here. I have recently put on MAC LT, O/R Prochamber, and MAC catback. I love the sound. But the drone is getting bothersome.
I know a lot of people recommend putting in resonators to help with this. My questions are, will putting in two high-flow cats accomplish the same with drone? And would they make the car even quieter than resonators?
I'm inclined to go with the cats, only cause I'd like to go to the dealership time to time and I don't want them to notice I don't have any cats up there. I already have the cats, plus o2 bungs and extensions.
Thanks in advance

From my experience dynamat didn't help too much. I also used ensolite foam on top of the dynamat in the entire trunk and my drone was still bad. I would say resonators are your best bet, that or an exhaust change. I had the corsa axle back on my 08 mustang and drone was very minimal.

High flow Cats wont get rid of the drone IMO and can you have CATs with LT's? anyway the resonators IMO are the way to go and make sure they are staggered in the exhaust (on either side) so it cancels the resonance out (or change it/reduce it/ or eliminate it) or different sizes and placed side by side opposite each other. They change the sonic signature and should reduce or eliminate the drone.

It's the Mac's. I don't know of any muffler that drones more that those. They should great but drone like hell. Short of welding full cats in, I don't think you'll get rid of it if you stick with the Mac mufflers.
