Default Pennzoil's new Platinum Synthetic

They make this in 0-20 weight like Mobil 1 does. They advertise this oil cleans better than all others. Has anybody used it? Do you think it has too many detergents in it? What do you think?

Is that different then Pennzoil's "old" Platinum synthetic? I don't think I need any more cleaning than what my Amsoil does in my Stang and M1 does in my SUV... And does Pennzoil recommend their 0W20 for the Stang like Amsoil recommends theirs? If not, why are you even considering it?

I'm going to put it in my girl's 2000 Toyota Rav4. Just wanted to get everybody's opinion on it. I consider anything new and improved.

If you go to Amsoil's website and check their test results, you'll find that Pennzoil Platinum doesn't do very well compared to a lot of other oils. For bang-for-the-buck I don't think you can beat M1. Not that the Pennzoil is bad, it's just that there is better for about the same $$. And I used Pennzoil dino oil for years in cars that I put close to or over 200,000 miles on with no problems...

I'm still puzzled about why you intend to put 0W20 in her car if it doesn't call for that. But to each their own, I suppose...

Actually I asked about the 0W-20 because we have Mustangs here and I was implying that I'd put it in my Mustang. I bought 5W-30 for the Rav4 because I couldn't find 0W-30 at WalMart.
