Thanks for the write-up and photos. I have had my SHR 1/4 louvers for a long time now but I still like to see a good tech demonstration. Good job.

I am curious though. What material did you use to soundproof the interior, how much did you get, and how long to install? Also, it looks like from the picture, you only installed it under the rear seat. Is that the case or did you do the trunk as well and further in the interior? Oh, and also, where did you purchase it and most of all, are you happy with the results? =]

I keep getting crap from my dad reminding me its not suppose to be 'soundproof', but I would really like to do this to mine at some point soon.

I've got a pretty decent list of mods I'd like to do and this is just one more on it, but if its reasonably cheap to do it, I might just bump it up the list and do it sooner than I had planned.

The material I used was peel and seal It cost about 1.25 a sq. ft. Bought at trailer store/ Lowes. Its just like d-mat and it has no smell. but much cheaper. Something similar from Pep Boys was 24 bucks for 2 sq ft. I did the trunk also. just after pic. and I am doing the doors today. Yes I am very happy. The best thing I did. so far. Other than adding HP. I did both sides of the rear speaker panel. Stopped all the VIBration. The speaker wire was a bad rattle back there . fixed that also!
So happy I will doing all my other cars also.

Those louvers are the best out there IMO.
I just can't justify the price, $300+ painted!!

Your car looks very sharp. I love your seats! Where did you get them from?
