I went with gearheads. They do great work for a great price. I had my got my gears and had them installed for $420 out the door. Then about 2 months later i started getting a HORRIBLE whine and they took a look at it, and it wasn't the gears that was whining, it was my housing that caused the bearing kit to shrivel to pieces and get in my pumpkin.
So, let me see if I got this right...your axle started whining after GearHeads installed the 4.10's. You took it back and they looked at it and found out that the bearings took a dump so they gave you a new set of gears and bearings and fixed it for free? Or...did they just charge you for a new set of bearings? I just don't understand how a housing causes a bearing kit to "shrivel to pieces" as you put it.
