I really want to stripe my black 08 gt and cant decide what to do. I really like the way matte black stripes look on a black stang, love how the matte black looks a different color in different light. But I really want to get my stripes painted. From what i heard matte black stripes have to be vinyl, painting them is a waste.

My question is:

1) Does anyone have painted black stripes on a black mustang? Pics please!

2) Anyone with matte black vinyl stripes, how easy is it to clean your car? Do you have to tape off the stripes when waxing?

3) What do you think I should do? Cheaper matte black vinyl stripes, painted midnight blue stripes, or painted gun mental grey stripes.

i'm not sure why you couldnt paint them. I got a quote once and was told they'd be rather expensive. I have the matte black vinyl stripes from bsm. They are super easy to keep clean either by normal washing or spray detailer. As for waxing i dont tape them off but i dont wax them either. I am just very very careful. Taping them would work. So far i have no complaints and its been a year since i had them put ont. Nice lookin car btw
