i think i found the problem. i think that it is the shift stops.my pivot ball seems pretty tight. well anyway im going to loosen the shift stop back and see if that does anything. if it does im going out to home-depot to get some rubber caps for the ends of the shift stop. ill write back tomorrow afternoon!

I dont think your alone on this problem . i was at the ford dealer the other day and a friend of mine is the svt tech there and they had two gt back for rattles on the hurst billet and it sounded like they were going to replace the entire shifters, on the mgw i seem to remember a thread a while back that had his handle break from the bushing cracking the bushing. my 05 i have the saleen short throw block -26% and never miss a shift ,i love it, also it is rattle free .

Are most of these problems with the old Hurst CompPlus, or with the new billet shifter?
I have the older one. It has only rattled (more like a buzz) a couple of times on deceleration. I will check it out when i get back home.
