Pypes mid muffler alignment/gas tank
I put my catted mid-pipe back on today (getting inspected next month) and started checking everything under there. The mid-mufflers come within 1/4'' of the gas tank covers and the over-axle pipe on the passenger side comes within 1/4'' of the panhard support.
you guys with this setup... any ideas how to provide more clearance? If the exhaust shakes 1/4'' either way it's making contact. probably been running like this for awhile and haven't heard anything under acceleration but I'm sure something is making contact. took it to an exhaust shop to have the hangers re-welded and they wanted to modify the cat-back pipe to make everything work better. that's probably what I'll let them do unless there's another trick to it.

you were exactly right, bro. I loosened EVERYTHING from the mid-pipe back and started moving/bending and re-tightening. It's still a really close fit but I just gave it a WOT test run and it sounds GREAT! The off-road pipe and/or the alignment was introducing some really bad resonance. It sounds just like this now but with the lower rumbling of the H-pipe. I'm a happy man again!
