I changed from the MGW to the Hurst. I do have a little rattle in the Hurst but I can barely hear it over the exhaust.

The MGW was OK but I prefer the feel of the Hurst a little more. My feelings are the Hurst is better as a racing shifter and the MGW is better as a daily driver/street car shifter.

Never heard someone go from a MGW to a Hurst before.
That's a first.

Yeah, I know. I caught a lot of flack in here for it too.

I don't want to make it sound like the MGW is a piece of junk, because it's not. It's a very nice shifter. I don't like the 2 piece design of it. The rubber sleeve on the one piece slid up the shaft a little. I don't think it was because the bolts were loose or anything, I just think it couldn't handle the constant hard shifts I put it through. That's what I like about the Hurst, it's a one piece. This is the Hurst competition, not the first Hurst to come out for our cars.

keep in mind this car gets raced every friday and saturday and sometimes sunday.

I think my MGW is STILL breaking in a year later. Those 5lb. (feels like) return springs are finally starting to soften up. Seems like the longer the RP synchromax stays in the better it feels too. I'm almost happy with this TR3650 finally... pretty smooth now.

I think they said the max was 11 turns on mine and I set it to 10 turns when I installed it. Perfect throw for me and no problems so far...
