S197 parts are sooo much more expensive, that makes sense. Thanks for picking that out Derf. My DS was $600 and worth every penny. I was looking at some of those other FR500C parts.... $1500 for an exhaust system.. and $500+ for a racing seat???

I know that there is a drive shaft from FRPP that is for the S197 and its less than $500.

I doubt it works since the FR500C has a 6-speed. Probably the wrong length and spline.

Why wouldn't they? It obviously fits the earlier model. It just probably happens to also fit the FR500C because it's got a different trans. It's not like they didn't put a different engine in the car too so they're not very interested in having parts be easily interchanged.

that driveshaft won't fit our "regular" s197s

our driveshafts are not the slip-yoke design you see there - part of the reason it costs so much to have one made for ours.
the fr500c has a different tranny than the typical 3650s or t5 trannies in ours (like ajaibr said above ^^^).

it would sure be nice to see one even in the $300 range for ours though

These are FR500C racing parts. They are available for racing teams that race FR500C's. Not little toy mustangs.
